Breakfast and Lunch Sandwiches

I started my morning with 2 cups of warm lemon water.
I also made myself 2 sandwiches, 1 for breakfast and 1 for work. A great way to cut off some calories in sandwich making, is to only use one slice of bread. I honestly hate using 2 slices anyway because I feel like all I taste is bread. Even when I eat burgers haha! One bread is enough for this gal.

My sandwich had mayo, mustard, thin slices of turkey, ham, and salami with pepper jack cheese and cucumbers on a piece of rye bread. I allow myself to eat cheese and meat in the mornings because, like I said earlier, mornings are the time to eat! You’ll burn it all off by the end of the day. It’s what you eat in the afternoons and evenings that will make you gain weight. So be careful during those meals! I also had a chocolate chip cookie with my coffee.

For lunch, I ate my sandwich with organic tomatoes and brought some vegetables to munch on for a snack.



Also, make sure you are staying hydrated with plenty of water throughout the day!!



Ok y’all, those crepes from my breakfast are delicious! They were divine with some fresh organic tomatoes for my lunch. I also snacked on some veggies.

Breakfast shenanigans!

Ok y’all, lemon water and ginger tea. 2 of each! I love drinking something warm in the mornings!


Ok now for my breakfast, I don’t even know what to tell y’all. My mother-in-law made this dish. I think it’s rice, or “kasha”.. The dressing on it has carrots and tomatoes as well as beef. I only had a little of the beef though. Dark meat makes my belly hurt.


And I was still a bit hungry so I munched on some carrot sticks.

So I wanted to post some healthy(ier) options for the munchies! I thought those pretzels were good stuff but oh man, that sodium! Y’all need to check out some of the awesome healthy chips they have in stores.

But!! A big mistake that people make is seeing 140 calories and thinking “Oh wow! That’s great! I can go at it!”
Serving sizes people! We have to check that serving size. Most serving sizes for chips are 10-15 chips per serving. So keep an eye on that as you munch. You can count your chips as you put them in a bowl and settle down to watch your movie or browse the web. Anyway, I wanted I share some of the snacks I’ve been loving lately.





At it again!

Hey y’all, I am sorry I haven’t been posting my meals consistently. Honestly, I felt like I was losing motivation to continue my blog. I was also failing in my healthy eating promise. But I decided to check my wordpress app and noticed that people are checking out my blog! That was motivation enough and very exciting! I would love to motivate others and share some of my crazy recipes or workout routines (if I ever start working out again!) Eeks!

Well anyway, my breakfast consisted of this delicious sandwich again. Made with rye bread from our local Russian store, organic peanut butter, and homemade black current jam (which is so good for you!) and of course lots and lots of lemon water!


I also had some pumpkin spiced coffee to get myself in this wonderful autumn mood! Fall is definitely my favorite and it is gorgeous here in Washington!
